About SAME Camps

For over 30 years, before STEM was being promoted, SAME has been advancing events and activities and offering scholarships designed to excite students to become engineers. SAME, in collaboration with the military services, offers a series of week long, STEM Engineering & Construction Camps designed for High School students who excel in math, science and technology courses and are interested in pursuing engineering, architecture, or related fields in college.  Each of our camps has their unique curriculum, with the common thread being: challenging environment, hands-on activities, mentors who are young engineers, long term resources for alumni.

Details can be found on the SAME website at the following link:

Volunteers Wanted (needed)

The success of our programs and events are made possible by the dedication of our volunteers. Any amount of time you have to offer will help.

We have several opportunities available.

2016 Joint Engineer Training Conference (JETC)-Phoenix, Arizona, May 2426

The Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo is the major annual event for SAME. In addition to technical and continuing education events, this national program includes the annual Members' Meeting and Installation of Officers and Directors, the meeting of the Senior Executive Group, the presentation of the SAME Annual Awards, and the spring Board Meeting.

The JETC Golf Event will be held on prior to the JETC on May 23, 2016. We are look for volunteers to help make this event a success. Volunteer opportunities include event registration, runners, setting up signage, etc.

We are looking for volunteers to chair and participate in a number of committees from volunteer coordination, planning, registration, etc. The number of hours volunteered will factor the discount received for attending the JETC.
